Service Description

The basic principle and theoretical background of this method is the control and stability of the center of the body - the abdomen. Like any material object the human body has a center of gravity, which determines its balance. All the movements we make in our lives and our energy have as a starting point the power that comes from our center point. Conquering control of the body through the center makes us control anything else in our lives. Who does it concern? The Pilates method concerns everybody and is especially beneficial to treat all the problems arising from modern lifestyle. No matter how trained and fit one is, Pilates is the ideal exercise, which meets the needs of all people, from those who lead a non-active life to athletes. J.H. Pilates himself, called his method "mild for pregnant women, safe for the elderly, powerful for athletes and dancers." Biofeedback Neurotherapy (neurofeedback or EEG biofeedback) is a method of neurophysiological brain fitness and self-control along with the help of equipment that measure brain activity. Using electroencephalogram (EEG) the function of the cerebral cortex is monitored in normal time, and in turn this information is provided to the person exercising so he can control it and learn from the changes caused to his brain as a result of exercising. We can “compare” this method to learning to ride a bicycle, where one must first learn to balance on two wheels and then be trained at doing it much easier. The neurofeedback is “specifically” applied to improve focus and concentration skills, to reduce impulsivity in children and adults with Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD / H). It can also be applied for the treatment of epilepsy, anxiety disorders, head injuries, as well as for the treatment of depression, pervasive developmental disorders and other psychiatric and neurological disorders are still being investigated,. Also, neurofeedback is applied to improve self-knowledge for more outstanding performance, by athletes.
